Fifth Chemo Infusion and PET Scan Results

Baruch Hashem! Amazing news!

The moment that my doctor walked into the room he told me that according to the PET scan results, my body has been responding VERY well to the chemotherapy and everything is moving in the right direction!

As you can imagine this made the rest of my infusion today that much better. I still have to finish all of my treatments. I still felt like I got hit hard towards the end but THANK YOU to my amazing team that came with me today and helped laugh it off: My Mom, Sara, and big shout to Chaski for coming through with the turkey wrap. I really needed it!

Thank you to everyone for being there for me. I have been receiving so many phone calls, posts, messages, texts, whatsapps, gifts, emails, voicemails, and visitors from family, friends, and acquaintances from all stages of my life and all around the world. It is so incredibly comforting and I feel so blessed to have all of this support and be moving through physical therapy and chemotherapy with the best care. People usually ask me, “how are you feeling?” Well, I feel very good, and so should you! The outpouring of love has energized me more than a Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew and is a huge distraction from the side-effects. Thank you for also following my blog. I’m so happy that I did not hold any of this in. People have told me that I would have so much time to watch Netflix. That could not be further from the truth. Everyday I spend this incredibly valuable time, which I don’t think I’ll ever have like this again, working on myself and trying to become a better person. I’ve even discovered a new passion – writing.

Since launching ackerbat.com last month I’ve had over 700 readers with nearly 3,500 page views which has initiated many incredible connections.

On the way home today I repeated our new family mantra, “Don’t worry!” Everything always works out when you have faith, relax, trust, and let it.

    Daniel.
Thinking positive is 90% of nearly any task you might undertake. In the case of medical conditions and physical situations – it isn’t always easy to think positively – it hurts.
You seem to have jumped from 0-60 from the get-go. That’s a big plus. Keep at it.

      Mort,
You couldn’t have said it better! I try to work on this every single say. Sometimes it is more difficult than others but I never give up on it. It can definitely hurt, but when you focus on what’s on the other side it is more manageable. I hope your art production is going great! Best, Danny.
