The Mohawk

Last week I walked into my barber shop and told the barber to pretend my head was a blank canvas. The original plan was for him to keep cutting it down in fun ways until my head was totally buzzed. It’s been a little annoying for my hair to constantly be falling out into my food, clogging the drains, and just generally sprinkling all over the place.

You know what – thank Gd I even have hair!

I decided to keep the short Mohawk and have fun with it until I go for the full buzz. This will also help keep a very busy house just a little bit cleaner…

For the record I have never cut my hair like this. I will say that it is a little strange to be walking around a religious Jewish neighborhood like this with a Kippah. However, to my surprise, I’ve gotten a lot of compliments. It is even more so rewarding when I tell them why I got this haircut and share my story.

Below is a time-lapse of the cut and some final pictures.

I asked them to shave in Rebbe Nachman but that was a little much ?. Thank you @steve_finessed and @scissorstoclippers for the awesome cut! . . It’s hard to tell from the video but my hair has been painfully falling out in clumps the past week from the #chemo. I was originally going to go full on Breaking Bad today but decided to keep it fun until it all falls out. My nephew loved the Batman but my niece was traumatized. Oh well, you can’t please everybody ? . . #Cancer #hodgkinslymphoma #lymphoma #trapeze #circus #climb #ackerbat #strength #fly #violet #Lymphoma #Hodgkins #tos #build #gifts #love #journal #blog #design #artist #dance #TOS #haircut #mohawk #buzz #hair #scissors #clippers #ThoracicOutletSyndrome
